My family and I will be arriving in just one week, for a two week vacation. We will be at the El Dorado and the Bethel. We are going to stay in Manilla for a couple of days first so the gals can shop at the Mall of Asia, and I can ride with the Mad Dog Motorcycle Club.

It would be nice to meet some the board members and put a face with the name. Just email me, or place a post so we can all get together.

Secondly, is there a restaurant in Dumaguete that serves the large jumbo shrimp, and not prauns. I didn't find the prauns that good when I had them.

Look forward to meeting and greeting all of you.

    All the best,

Y-not has great grilled prawns, and the best bike for Negros is one with knobby tires.

I agree. You really do take great pictures. Thanks for coming back to the forum and sharing the great pics! BTW, where is that, somewhere above Valencia?

Great Pic!!! Where is the location? Valencia? Are you doing the hill at the end of the road? By the way you are dressed, you really don't need roads!!

    arriving in one week

The prauns we had at the El Dorado weren't that great for me. Grilled whole, still had heads and internals. We were hoping for actual jumbo shrimp, filleted, deveigned, etc. I was thinking they were available in the Phil.

    Thanks

They have delicious garlic prawns at Hayahay. Their seafoods are very fresh - still in the aquariums when you order. You can point out which lobsters, crabs and fish you'd like to have prepared. Might wanna check that out.

I love prawns but d*mn I am allergic to it .Love it though with salad mixed and some island dressing /nice with some lettuce, though after a tasty portion of it I end up with pouting itchy lips:rolleyes: ...not looking like any cosmetically enhanced but horrible, only save by dose of few anti-histamines.

That's too bad pickled_newt. I know quite a few people who are allergic to shellfish.

By the way 2BB, the prawns at Hayahay can be cooked any way you like them, without heads, butterfly-cut, etc. And they are always deveined.
