I take your Point but They ( The Locals) Don't seem to moan about it Just US ( The Foreigner) From my experience they will clear enough space to have their day and leave it at that. There is NO answer to this and I have seen many Photos of the same Problem in Spain and other places in Europe and the US. It is what it is here and anywhere else. and that is a Fact,

I didn't put the trash there and it is not my country. Even when I pull the plastic off the top of a smokes I put it in my pocket until I can find a trash bin. I'm not touching other people's rubbish and I'm certainly not going to give a sh*t about other people's beaches. This is exactly the reason why I spend zero time on the beaches and undeveloped islands here. The people are disgusting and don't give a crap about keeping their surroundings clear. The only time they take a break from throwing trash in the ocean is when they are p*ssing in it.

Pollution is a global problem.... and the cleaner looking countries are just better at hiding it.

Exactly! But there are still lots of things we can do to improve our waste disposal system.and yes some countries are better at hiding it but did we see trash in large quantities on our beaches back home?
I for one never did, when we got a storm we got a bit but nothing on the scale of aisan standards which are poor.
Even here all plastics, cans and bottles can be recycled and they do it due to cash and wages to feed their families. We always separate our stuff for the garbage collection but the waste is still in bin liners which are not good.
I see the biggest problem is the local markets and sari stores handing out plastic bags for every item they sell and a lot seem to end up on the beaches and in the sea!
Ive spoken to the bgy cap on a couple of occasions about trash in the bgy in certain areas which is highly visible from the highway but she was not in the slightest bit interested in getting a group together to clean up around 4 times a year around the area, they just don't give a d*mn!
