⌛ Augusber in Dumaguete - too much for the Almighty

Well, we all are aware that the "-ber" month in the Philippines are the Christmas month where you hear the foot-nails up-rolling same 10 Barry White x-mas songs for 24/7 until March next year or so.

So what else should happen than going shopping on 3rd of Augusber 2009 downtown Dumaguete just to be confronted after entering a shopping center with "white Christmas".

That was even too much for The Almighty and even before reaching the 3rd strophe he smashed his fist of justice into the Noreco Transformer station to stop this nonsense and causing a 3 hour brownout

Thanks Lord it's August again ...

I reminded my little one already to collect heavy, sharp and other throw-able objects for the x-mas noisemaker in front of the gate who should come soon over form other Islands

...Fun for the whole pamily :D

Anyway, I heard rumors that Noreco starts now to announce "scheduled Power" and not "scheduled Brownouts" as the ratio changed over to the brownout side and it's easier to announce the few regular power minutes in the newspaper

Great post Rhoody! Have you noticed that all the blue painted guitars are now out and tuned up for the start of the Xmas rush? I can hardly wait for the "ber" season to begin in earnest.

The weather is even co-operating as my family is all freezing to death and asking me why I still want the fan "on".

 

Thats they only thing about Philippines...as soon as the "ber" starts the christmas begin. lol...christmas in the US will not begin after halloween.

I personaly have started doing my part buy putting a few christmas songs in my shows at the galas beach every sunday. Got to keep up with the times. Ha ha ha to one and all a merry christmas..........cowboy

 

Anita, I live in San Diego so you're probably a couple of hours away from where I'm at.

 

I never used to dislike Christmas, till i came to the Philippines, (having it 'celebrated', for about 6 months a year.) Still, at least it builds up the churches' funds for the lean month/s before Easter and keeps the 'unemployables' off the streets and at your gates.
