never been here before, looking to stay 2 or 3 nights before heading up into a mountain resort.

looking for a reasonable standard place in town, below 1000 and preferably around 800 mark. I don't mind staying in quite a busy area, I don't need a fridge but I'll need to be able to get my hands on ice until quite late at night.

is there anybody hiring motorcycles out to tourists in Bacolod?

what set up is it at the airport regarding taxis, what's the right fare into town.

    thanks in advance.

Hotels....updated city price list...just click on Accommodation rates about halfway down the page. We're liking the Planta lately but it is higher than your requested rate. The Executive Inn...now re-badged as O Hotel is good value too. Seabreeze is in the right price bracket and very centrally located. Used to be nice enough years ago but no idea how they are now.

There was a thread on the airport taxis etc a few months ago. Still costs the same as far as I know. Going to the airport you can get cabs to actually use the meter and pay around 300 pesos, depending on where you leave from...

No idea about bike hire....never noticed any but it doesn't mean much...ask at your hotel when booking..
