    Hi guys! I'm a newbie here. Chanced upon this forum while looking for articles on Bahia de Bais. :smile: :smile:

    I'm from Manila and would like to take my wife and son to go dolphin-watching as soon as school isout this March 2008.

    I need your advice::confused:

    1. What's the cheapest way to travel to Dumaguete from Manila?

    2. Which is a better choice, considering my son is 6 years old: by plane or by boat?

    3. All indicators point to the conclusion that Bahia de Bais is a remote place. What is the best way to get to Bahia from the airport or port?

    Any input is welcome and will be greatly appreciated. Pls reply also to x_periment@yahoo.com. THANKS! :D

    The PHOTO BOARD has some threads about Bais/Manjuyod Sand Bars, entered by Dane on 10/2007, Pickled Newt and Rhoody on 09/2007. Although it is on the photo board, it does have pertinent
    info about the place. Hope this helps. Welcome to the forum X_.

    Though it is cheaper to travel by boat from Manila to Dumaguete, flying is a better alternative. If I remember correctly, it takes a day for you to travel by boat compared to just an hour by plane. I am not familiar with Bahia de Bais but I am somewhat familiar with Bais. From the airport, you can take the taxi which is overpriced or you can call Bahia and ask them if they could pick you up at the airport. Most of those places offer that kind of service for a fee.

    P.S. Cebu Pacific has promos every now and then so you may want to check their website for discounts:smile:

    You will be bored out of your mind there.
    Stay in Dumaguete resorts, and make a day trip to see the dolphins. That would be plenty enough time for Bais.
    Flying would be much better in either case.

    Really? It's THAT REMOTE? Well, it sure will be a far cry from the law office. But just in case: what Dumaguete resort will you recommend? Also, we're looking into travelling via Cebu Pacific. Hope there are no horror stories. This'll be our first time in Dumaguete.:D
