    I missed that!

    Beautiful pics!

I just got back from Dumaguete and Siaton. Too bad..i didn't get the chance to visit Balanan. I was there for just 3 days...too short really. Plus we got so busy coz of a wedding in the family.

Will definitely go to Balanan on my next trip puhon.

    Thanks for the photos.

Nice photos recycle, thanks.Haven't had any chance to visit this beautiful lake, hopefully nxt time.

It's a beautiful site and i agree the local govt of siaton should have assessed the risk involve in conjuction to promoting that lake as public recreation site. That must be a big earth fissure to give way to this lake .Hope it would not happen in our lifetime of another jolt in Negros.I came across from a web source about dangers of a big quake if it happens and if affecting directly the Twin lakes in Sibulan will be catasthropic to communities below...but here we go, not to scare, this is perhaps at its remotest possibility to happen.

    Balanan Lake Memories...

It is amazing to see the beautiful transformation of Balanan lake. I was in College at SU (around 1990) when I first visited Balanan. There were no roads yet for any kind of transportation so we literally walked and climbed to get to the lake. The trek was quite difficult but very rewarding in the end as we saw Mother Nature at it's best so splendid and unspoiled. My family just went there last month and I saw all the awesome things they have done to the place in the pictures.I cannot wait to go there again as soon as I come home to my beloved Dumaguete City...
God Bless all the Gentle People of Dumaguete!!!
