    thanks
I'm here and i must say the beaches are dissapointing
they could be gorgeous but as usual in the Philippines they have been ruined by thoughtless development ie buiding of walls etc right across the beach
kota beach resort actually has a wall all around their beach. this is appaerntly to keep their sand from going. It doesn't obvioulsy occur to people
that the great big wall on the other side is causing their sand to "dissapear."
I'm sure earl will know this is long shore drift in affect.

To add insult the kota beach proudly displays an environmental certificate.
    what utter b*llocks.
what is it with thwe Phils that they alwasy have to build right onto the beach?
then complain when this very development causes their sand to "dissapear"
anyonew who has studied geography at basic level knows that building across beaches causes sand to build up one side and dissapear the other due to the continuous long shore drift of sand across the beach
wake up people, this is not rocket science!!!

add to the fact that all the coral here has been dynamited to oblivion and its just a paradise lost.
    great shame

These people will still have sleep in their eyes even when it's too late. No long-term thinking, it's all about how much they can make and screw whatever happens to the place. Sometimes I think brute force is the only solution...

We should just put landmines on the beaches, and breed poisonous seasnakes to protect the shallower waters. That would help protect the beaches from the encroachment of careless peoplwe.

    Hehehehehehehe

We actually put Bantayan on our itinerary on last visit but didn't make it.But was able to do Sugar beach ,Sipalay ( not too touristy, perhaps during that time of yr though) also is beautiful ,quiet and so far no sea walls.
