    People stranded on rooftops, reports are most of downtown is underwater. Gov. asked for choppers form Mactan, but military is resisting due to weather.

    Friends of ours who live in the sub division are also flooded and having to move everything, also landslide in sta catalina on main highway.

    is it just the bayawan rivers thats flooded?how about the other parts of dumaguete? is it flooded too?been trying to check on the news from time to time just worried about that river next to camella homes. hope i'll still have a house when i go back. :-(

    I just came back from doing a recon of that area, the rivers are swollen but nowhere near a dangerous level. At the Balugo bridge the level is 10 feet lower than it was during Sendong, so no worries unless it rains a bunch up in the hills.

    some dead at banica river trying to cross. also some squatter huts farther up washed away.

    Every year there is "some dead trying to cross", and some squatter huts washed away, even when there is no reason for it... Some just cannot learn from experience!
