We went to the BDO at Robinsons yesterday, not much of a queue and got in no problem with face mask BUT the guard told us that as of next week visor type face shield or no entry.

Not just BDO I guess. All banks & most govt. offices require face shields on top of the mask you wear. Face shields are sold at 20
pesos only at that new general merchandise along Perdices St. beside 143.-

I guess most of it is about employers worrying that their staff will stop showing up for work if and when things get worse (with local transmission of the virus), unless they make the same demands of customers as they do of their staff.
And no, it's not just the banks. Last time I was at the BI office they had the same requirement (mask + face shield).-

PNB are already doing it. There's no sense in it, but that's not a surprise.

Exactly - face shield on top of the head and mask around the neck. But no entry unless you have them.

I keep one of those worthless face shields in the car. They are only P50 or less. I have yet to be required to wear one. It is madness and completely pointless but it's not that much of an issue.

Seems banks are the only ones strictly going this route. I guess to board a bus you have to have one, but as I watch them go by I see a number of the passengers with them flipped up or off completely, most wear a mask too but not even all of them.-
