I've been dying for a good pot roast, but cant find a decent cut of meat to cook. even the pork has no marbling

My darling wife advices firstly to tenderize the meat then soak it in Sprite/Seven up to soften it further for about 1 hour or more then later cook it in a pressure cooker....finally feed the dog! :D

OK here's what I did. I got two large peaces of beef one was a little darker red that the other and there was no marbling to speak of.

I have one of those kitchen ninjas and used that on the meat. I browned the meat and put it in the pressure cooker for 2 hours. (with lots of water) and a spice cube, beef. let it cool of its own accord. then I added potatoes, onion, and carrots, a can of mushroom soup mix and would have added lipton dry onion soup mix if I had it and cooked for another 45 min.

the meat was tasty and absolutely falling a part. it was great. just like Grandma used to make.

We always ad a bottle of beer(but some may find this a waste)and 250 g tomato sauce for 2 to 3 kg of beef.
    Try it!

I was told not to put tomato sauce in a pressure cooker, any truth to that?

Pressure cooker is the answer for the meats here and I "cure" the Beef in the refrigerator on a open tray for 5-7 days, with frequent turning so it dries out nicely and gets nice dark...

And I cook with Tomato sauce all the time in the cooker but I could imagine that cooking Tomato sauce alone in it would be a bad idea...
