I remember how sky got praised like the best thing since sliced bread on DI when they started.
Of course the first few customer had great connection until bandwidth got shared with more and more. Same will happen with the now praised PLDT.
And with more callcenter and internet-spam companies coming to Dumaguete private customers will get cut of first in crunch-times. Well, I am not a gamer, but my 65 websites running fine, managed from here as well as live-streams (Friday Saturday evening/night is a bit an issue). But I am really lucky, each time globe has a Dumaguete wide issue (like in March/April) my connection was 3 times as fast as it is supposed to be.

I have SkyInternet with SkyCable package which gives me 1.5Mbps download and 512Kbps upload. I work at home online and uses VoIP softphones, and I'm d*mn happy with their services. Internet costs only 999 and a discount on my SkyCable subscription. It might differ due to your location.

A member just mailed me that he can't post on the forum.

my usual suspect, he is a globe subscriber. he send me his IP address and he is Skycable, so I made a quick research:

Well, skycable uses actually Bandwidth from Bayantel, splits it to the subscribers and shares bandwidth and IPs.

So basically the IP-address system like globe which causes a lot of trouble, just that sky is basically only a local dealer buying from a wholesaler, what will make it even worse than globe over long or short term.

as we already get the reports here in the office, I expect it is rather short term...
