Like any river the farther upstream you go the cleaner it gets, it is an entirely different water, pollution is a cummulative thing, how many carabow poos does it take, how much pee, how much detergent, how much human waste? I have surveyed that river from top to bottom you can see the change as you go downstream.
We swim at Pulang Bato, one of the sources for the Banica in the moutains, up there it is quite OK.
