I met a guy from the uk living in Cebu around 4 yrs ago online who is into action and adventure called will Davies but has never met him in person until last Sunday. We have been intouch for around 4 yrs on and off, well I've been watching his progress on face book over the last 40 days or so, he is cycling around the visayas for 90 days with no money and just living on what he can find or is offered by the locals and sometimes for work in return for food. He stayed here with us since Sunday and has just left this morning for tambobo bay for a few nights and then he will ride on toward bayawan. So if anyone sees a crazy Welshman on his bike heading south or would even like to put him up for a night or two I'm sure he would appreciate it. Personally, I would feel extremely guilty taking handouts from the locals when I am fully capable of supporting myself (if you have enough resources to take a couple months off work/paying bills and go bike riding you are probably much better off than the locals). I wouldn't want to be a burden to any local living out in the province as most have a hard life and work hard for what little they have.......but hey, to each their own. I hope he is at least offering to do some work for them to earn his keep.
