Biometrics of foreigners required to enter Philippines under the new DOJ rule | Sun.Star
What is Biometerics ???????
electronic fingerprinting , eye scan , breath check , rectal inspection , and possibly a sample of saliva
I would guess given the technology available in the Philippines it will be a facial and fingerprint scan. Very similar to what you do when flying through China.
Yep! It's a picture and electronic fingerprinting. Gone through that (rather painless procedure) twice recently: once @ BI (Bureau of Investigation) to get proof I'm good guy and once to get my application for permanent visa processed. Both times without a hitch (contrary to what some people may think)...
They are creating a database. I see nothing wrong with it. Many countries around the world, including the US, do this.
