    Is it just me? I have more mosquito bites the last 7 days than I have had all year. At the same time I switched from cheap Spanish wine to cheap Italian wine I found at Robinson's, could that be the source?

    I bet it *IS* the wine.. check the abv..the amount of alcohol thats in there. You might not be getting enough booze in ya to numb out the skeeter bites !!..*arf*..

    Thanks Tony. The little buggers got me on 4 out of 5 (except no chiseled body). When my cholesterol was higher, I read where my type o blood was even more tasty for the skeeters.

    Pat , I am usually the first one bitten by those buggers , they seem to hover around my ankles as if there is no one else on the planet , will throw some extra aerogard in for you , when I used to live in queensland they were savage , I sold the gold coast property at the start of the year , so I wont have to worry about queensland mosquitos for a while , we get a few in Melbourne , but its either too hot or too cold for the bastards down here

    The little bastards seem to only bite my ankles, don't get them anywhere else; can't comment on years past as mosquitos normally leave me alone. They get me every morning when I go downstairs at the apartment..the fan on high seems to keep them away.

    I found that while I was there also, as soon as the sun set they were at ankle height trying to chew me off at the ankles!!

    Check out some of the options here for getting back at the lil suckers;

    Wearing socks with your sandals will stop the critters from biting your feet and ankles but watch out for the comments from other expats who don't like that look.
