You are 100% correct on those two points, even though some cannot accept them.

You can take the horse to the water, but you can’t make him drink.

His numbers seem to be for specific age groups, yours are for all age groups. Both arent really telling the entire picture and lack nuance and context. Covid kills the elderly with MUCH higher frequency. I don't think anyone denies that the virus is much
more deadly and has impacted the elderly to a much higher degree than the rest of the population. Much like the flu, the vaccines should be highly recommended (even mandated) for those in the high risk categories that don't have much longer to live. I understand why younger people would be more hesitant and concerned about long term effects of the vaccine...since "long term" is something they actually have to take into consideration.

At the same time I think that employers are well within their rights to mandate FDA fully approved vaccines. Employees that don't wish to be vaccinated aren't having their rights violated by these mandates. They can go work for someone else or start their own business that doesn't require it. Conservatives should agree that this is democracy, capitalism and the free market at play. If you don't like it you can f*ck off and get a job elsewhere.

    Lets look at the math;
25/100,000 x 320,000,000 = 80,000 should be the total number dead in the US

Eskirvin I went to the link you provided and below are the numbers it provided. Something seems wrong with your math. 767,000/120 million works out to about 0.6% NOT 0.05% as you believe.
From the numbers it looks like about 12% of the people hospitalized died.

These estimates suggest that during this period, there were approximately:

    120.2 Million
    Estimated Total Infections

    101.8 Million
    Estimated Symptomatic Illnesses

    6.2 Million
    Estimated Hospitalizations

    767,000
    Estimated Total Deaths

I know a lot of people struggle with math.

Even with the sinovac with low efficacy (~60%), it has a 95% chance of keeping you OUT of the hospital. These figures are pre - Delta, not sure, but almost definitely will be less severe with ANY vaccine.

Nat as severe. The unvaxxed in the US are 5 times more likely to get infected, and 29 times more likely to be hospitalized.
