Hi Folks, just wondering if Php301,000 will be a good start to build a house for my parents in Ayungon? How far can it go for a 150 sq meter floor area of the house? Thanks and appreciate all your feedbacks.

Yes, it can build a very nice native dwelling, or a very sparse concrete dwelling, or some combination in between.

Thanks Larry for the reply. Actually, plan to build a concrete house(4 bedrooms, 2 T&B) for them but not so sure if that amount would include steeled/metal roofing and finishing? If not, how much do I need to spend more to get it done? thnks

Sounds like you might want to plan on spending closer to a million then.

A concrete house of 150 sq meter with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for 301,000 pesos?
That is 2,000 pesos/ sq meter?
    I wish you good luck.
Maybe the 1,000 pesos is a tip for the contractor or is it a magician.

your budget is very small... lets say you need to have 10,000 per square meter for your budget. but this is only the minimum amount i would say or even 8000 per sq meter. you just try and try....unless you build it yourself.. you can save a lot.

Just thinking Yen30, if you're not going to be living there, then maybe just 1 bathroom would do and you could save quite a bit.

HI yen, Jack P. Popping his head up. Yesterday Azon met with the Architect (Cousin) and our Builder (Brother-in-Law) their revised estimate (3rd one) for our 500 sq mtr Lot. The 3 bed single story House, 140 sq mtrs will run to 9.500 per meter, This is the total Cost estimated. What started as 7.500 (I thought very tongue in check) has risen, each and every week it is riseing. We have cleared the Lot (Well Azon and family did) This runs out now to 4.750.000php Total. That is the Lot, House and Perimiter wall. In fact total. I wish you well, this is how things stand for Azon and I, at least you are getting some good feed back I read. Taking out the lot 585.000 would bring us back to 8.300p per metere for the build. Total cost for the build 4.150.000php You will see that others estimated Costings, are in line to a degree. Good Luck my friend.
