a- a+ Cebu eyed as next cruise ship hub Thursday, September 03, 2015 By KATLENE O. CACHO THE province of Cebu wants become the next hub for international cruise ships. Last week, Cebu welcomed at least a thousand guests when a cruise ship docked and stayed overnight in Cebu, according to Department of Tourism (DOT) 7 Director Rowena Montecillo. While the province has been receiving cruise lines, she pointed out that poor port infrastructure is one of the major constraints for the development of cruise tourism in Cebu. “Yes, we do want to be included in the map of international cruise ships. But right now, we have some problems with the port area. But the Cebu Port Authority is looking into that. They are looking at another place or another town very near Cebu City to transfer all of these cargo ships so that we can allow the Cebu International Port, or Pier 6 to really concentrate on cruise liners,” Montecillo Cebu eyed as next cruise ship hub | Sun.Star

I'm not sure what there is to see in Cebu. What would a tourist want to see? There are only 3 places I like in Cebu; the Airport, Pier 1 and the South Bus Terminal. Only because those three place are the starting point to get the hell out of Cebu. I have similar feeling about Manila.
The wife's family is from liloan the other side of the city, she's always asking to go visit the family so I just tell her I'll drop you at sibulan ferry terminal and see you when you get back! As far as I'm concerned Cebu ends at the circle at carcar and doesn't exist after this!
I used to go there for the nightlife. That's off limits to me now without an escort appointed by my gf. I see no appeal to Cebu now.
The southern end and northern end are ok,trouble is you have to get through the bit in the middle. Cebu City is just a dump like most city's here.
I thought the article was talking about Cebu City. Cebu Province is a different story. If I were a cruise ship operator I would be looking at other places to be docking my ships (mainly small towns with nice beaches). That's kinda the whole point of taking a cruise isn't it? I'm guessing that most of the
I do like going north to Moalboal, pretty laid back and some good diving. Maybe you and I could "escort" Wrye to Cebu. The only problem I can envision is; which one of us would be the "responsible adult"?. I pretty sure I'm under qualified.
I don't think you guys are on the GF's list of approved escorts. lol I become unqualified after the 4th alcoholic beverage.
