So, when in Dumaguete is there a fastcraft or something to south Cebu?

There is a fast craft from Sibulan, but the busses on the Cebu side will not pick anyone up going north from Lilo-an, as it is the end of the line for them. You can take a pedicab to Bato, and take a bus north from there.

    OR,

You can take a bus north out of Duma to Tampi, and take any boat across. From the other side you will land at Bato, and can pick up bus going north from there. In my opinion this is the best route. (I hate pedicabs)

I'm afraid that I must disagree with shadow on his comment. I have disembarked from the fast craft from Sibulan and immediately mounted a waiting Ceres bus for the voyage onward to Cebu on at least two occasions.

End of the line? That's the whole point. At the end of the line you turn your bus around and go back again.

It is often worthwhile to take a tricycle cab from Dumaguete and the fast craft from Simulan. If you hit your connections well it is much faster than the bus-ferry-bus combination

Uh, Davefitz, if you will read the original post, the poster was trying to go north from Liloan on the west coast to Moalboal, not on the east coast to Cebu.

We have made a hundred or so trips from Lilo-an to Cebu, your right no problem there. However, when we tried to go from Lilo-an to Moalboal, we had to take a pedicab from Lilo-an to Bato to get a bus going north.

Yes, Oceanjet leaves Cebu 6 am daily. Rates vary, but generally P600 to P800 each one way.
