Hi folks. Do any of you natural herbs gurus have any idea where in Dumaguete I can buy some Celery Capsules ? I have asked at several drug stores, and they look at me as if I am from Mars. :D Thanks. Paul.
lee plaza and or hyper-mart (?) have whole celery seed in the spice section. it's in a orange capped plastic bottle about 2.5'' tall x 2''dia. brand is Wil-Pack (p36). they also have mortar and pestles if you need one. norm : ))~
More on spices-celery seed You might want to also check out Times Merchantile, by the immigation office. Go way to the back of the store on your right. They have 1 kilo sized bags of spices/herbs and some large jars also. You might find it there or they might order it. It is a whole lot more economical by the kilo. Good luck.
Thanks Charlie T. Sounds good, I will try that next time, and also thanks to Kelpguy, I found some at Hyper Mart today. Paul.
Times Merchantile ah... that sounds like a place i need to check out, is it on the street or down one of these mysterious hallways like immigration is? same side of the street as immigration or? thanks... norm : ))~
It's on the main street, just a few doors west of immigration, same side of street. I bought 1 kilo of caraway seeds there for P600. That'll last me a year.
thanks charlie T... nice strait forward directions, even i should be able to find the place. caraway seeds, huh! and to think i just ordered a pound of caraway seeds from the states cuz i couldn't find them here < sigh> in case anybody didn't know, casa blanca deli has rye bread and emmental cheese, only missing for a delicious sandwich is some caraway seed. guess a little corned beef wouldn't hurt either. norm : ))~
Hi Norm, What shipping method do you use from the States ? My stuff would come from Michigan. I haven't found a dependable economical method yet, though I have very little shipped from there. I have pretty much learned how to substitute, do with-out, or check with my cosin in Cebu to see if something might be available there. I have found a few things right here in Dumaguete that he cannot find in Cebu. "One never knows, do one ?" I forgot who is credited with saying that. lol Charlie
i buy most everything (from nuts and bolts to food items : ) i can from amazon.com and other sites that offer free shipping and i have it sent to forexworld.com in L.A.. forex breaks down packages and neatly packs everything into one of their bb boxes and delivers it to me in the fils. takes about 2 months, if uncle sam pulls it out to inspect, then add a couple of weeks. forex has a paypal payment option which works slick for me. norm : ))~
