Real cheese is expensive here no matter where you buy it. I now buy the 'Italian Hard Cheese' (of unknown specific origin or type) from Don Atilano. I buy smaller chunks than the Bega that you bought and I used to buy, but price overall works out about the same. Import costs are understandable, but it costs to import Australian cheese to the UK as well, but of course, they have more competition for similar there.
