Dumaguete City Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria said he signed Tuesday the purchase order for additional 300 kilos of biological enzymes, worth around P700,000, that can last up to 72 days. The enzymes will be sprayed on the city's garbage dumpsite in Barangay Candau-ay, for faster decomposition of old garbage, and eliminate the toxic odor from the continuous operation of heavy equipment to disintegrate and separate plastics from biodegradable wastes stocked for years in the dumpsite.
