    Road check at the Dgte/Bacong border at 6:30 last night. Bikes stopped a mile back waiting.

    I was thinking the same, but here in the Philippines I changed my mind because it only takes a minimal accident for somebody without helmet to get seriously injured or even die, and good luck to you if you're only minimally involved in something like that as a foreigner.

    I got a child's helmet from Lazada as well, however it's really a toy and doesn't offer much protection if any at all, comparable to the El cheapo helmets you get for free with a scooter, but without any certification sticker.

    Regarding theft - now with the new demand that may indeed become a problem. Guess the times of leaving the helmet unsecured on the bike are over :/
