Guess we were fortunate being on the beach and only needing 4 pipes (and our water is clean). Our neighbors tried (and are still trying) to get their well and pump working but they have lots of sand being sucked into their system.

I certainly give your comment some creedance.

There is thought to be great future risks of war over water supplies - easy to see how that happens when one country builds a dam and thus decreases the flow to countries further downstream or maybe even up around the bend.

Climate change is also a major factor, when people will start asking "Have you ever seen the rain?" (To which the reply is yes - "It came out of the sky"). But in some countries, due to differences in global effects of climate change, some will ask "Who'll stop the rain?".

So if some countries have rain water while other have not, the question is....will they share it and if so at what price?
Right now we are all being held to ransom by the oil producing countries, they see the introduction of electric cars as a threat, so slow down production of crude oil and charge what they like.
One thing you need in the desert is water, their time will come!

I'm sure they will share - but, as you say, at a ransom price! Some countries then might decide just to take it.

Im currently having deep well drillers (Ricrose drilling) dig me a well. I had another crew who was unable to go more than 120 '. We are down 200 ' and still no water. I should mention, we are in the mountains in Bais city, and paying 1,200 a foot. Anyone else have to go deeper than this, and who did you use?

Spot on, Tory C**** as usual Fd it up in the name of £. God what a state it is over there. Water and Air are essentials not a business matter in any way. Hope the Philippines stays this way. I don't drink from the tap but get the blue bottles delivery, think most do. But do clean my teeth using the tap. No issues so far. Bit off subject reading through last posts.

No neighbors here, they all use a small natural spring but I have not been lucky enough to hit that.
