Casablanca has a new menue which looks good, with very fair prices.
Finally I got to try their "Tex-Mex" Phil style..
I went with some reservations as I have been waiting ,for some decent southern foods in Dumaguete for years..
Ordered chicken fajitas and draft beer..(do not mess around with the small glass,go big !! 1 liter is 98 pesos)
time from ordering untill food delivered-9 minuts.
    presentation -10
    service -9
    taste -8+
    value for 195 pesos -9
I must say that Gunther is one of the only restaurant operators that really listens to his customers needs,wants/desires, and strives to correct any problems..
Ouesadillas next time for me ...ole !!!Miguel
    p.s.
I only wish that the outdoor dining area could be a little more appealing...Maybe new paint, color prints, and decorations would help.

I just wish they'd post their daily specials in advance here on DI.

I had the beef enchilada a couple nights ago. Beef was rather tough. The enchilada sauce on top was just tomato salsa from Lay's or Tostado's. Not at all authentic. The nachos were...............weird. Huge. Home made. Greasy. Even so, it was best TexMex imitation I've found in town.

Hands Down, Mike's Dive Shop used to make the best Nachos on the BLVD.. I hoped He carried on the tradition at His new Resort. His Tacos and Burritos IMHO were the best on the BLVD too.... BTW, Casablanca is My Favourite reataurant in town. I'll have to try Gunther's New Mexican Menu the next time I'm in town. If anyone can recreate Mexican Cuisine in Town My Money is on Gunther..cheers
