Common sense (or the lack of)

3. We live in an area where a long time ago it was deemed not worthy of a visit by the garbage pick up truck even though there are many people living there.
If we wanted to get rid of garbage we had to take it to a collection point around 4 or 5km from us.
Just recently the powers that be put up a notice at the collection point stating that if you put garbage there it could only be on the collection day which is Friday, now the latest madness is another notice specifying a long list of items not allowed to be dumped there including glass bottles, Styrofoam and wait for it old shoes !
There is also now a CCTV camera pointing at the dump so they can identify any culprits who do not tow the line.
I am not a visionary or an environmental expert but i can see and will soon smell what will happen, what can be burnt will be and glass bottles will be thrown onto the nearest wasteland.
