I don't know if they are still there, but there used to be a place in Evermall - ground floor at the back. They had some nice stuff when I last looked.

Do you mean kitchen modulars? If you’re in Cebu, check out. Cebu Home Builders in Mandaue City. They have kitchen modular designs.

You are one year too early I suppose. IKEA are building their biggest outlet ever near Mall of Asia in Manila Bay. But again, opens in 2020

I don't think it will be all that bad. The reason for building a twice the normal size building is to service and accomodate the whole country and I would assume they ship most of their stuff by boat. The shipping rates in Europe are great, IKEA are a huge company and can obviously negotiate freight prices.

Last time I checked franchises must be owned 100% by Filipinos...unless (maybe) they fit into an approved category for foreign ownership on the negatives list, which I don't think IKEA does.

Obviously IKEA is going to have some standards, practices, products and appearances that must be maintained by franchise owners but I wouldn't automatically assume that a business is going to be ran as smoothly and efficiently as it is in the West. Look at McDonald's or any other franchise in the country that regularly tells their customers, "Sorry po, out of stock." I can't recall ever being told that in the West by a major franchise.
