This one sounds pretty good Jack...not a huge mayo fan but it does not seem like it would be too overpowering. I honestly never ate SPAM growing up and first tried it when I was first stationed in Korea back in 89 and have used it ever since...fried spam, eggs (sunny side up), kimchi and rice; I doubt there is a better breakfast.

I have some left over BBQ chicken and sausage so I want to use it up, as well as clear space in the ref. Tonight will be a fried rice with the leftovers, some fried bacon and will also go with some small fried, cubed potatoes. Onion, garlic and some veggies (not sure which at the moment). I'm going to go in a new direction for fried rice (that I know of) and try some Sinigang seasoning with it. I've used Sinigang seasoning quite a bit for pork and chicken marinades (plus love the soup) but am curious on how this will turn out.

BTW, using curry seasoning for the pork chops in a previous post turned out really, really well. Highly recommend trying that out if you like curry.

Great start for mornings is a green smoothie. In a blender no need to measure exactly, handful of spinach leaves, one mango diced, 2 bananas sliced, one fuji apple grated and a few carrot sticks grated,, add any juice about 1/2 cup or milk or water and blend away. Tastes like dessert and refreshing. Add a few ice cubes. I freeze the mango and bananas in small bags, and spinach can be frozen in ice trays after blended with some water, throw 3-4 for each shake. Experiment with you favorite fruits and feel good.

Sinigang seasoning did not work well and Cherry agreed...I tend to do pretty well with trying different things but this one just did not work...rice, potatoes and veggies were done up right. It just did not work well with fried rice.

Went with a simple marinade for some pork chops; garlic oyster sauce, fish sauce and some Korean chili pepper flakes. Only let it marinade for a few hours but it turned out really well, another one I will do again...very simple.

On a side note, I have not cared for the chorizo sausage here as I find them too sweet. I have been buying some and will grill a pack a week for the kids to either have one for breakfast or to take to school for their lunch. I finally tasted one last night (covered in mustard) and it was not too bad. These ones are linked together and made by Virginia, I would not make a meal of them but not bad if you can deal with a bit sweeter sausage.

Tonight is a chicken night; wings, gizzards and liver. I'm not a huge gizzard fan but the wife plans on putting them on skewers so we will see. The wings will be on the grill and the liver will be fried in a batter...Cherry has the lead on most of the cooking for dinner.

I'm going to try a sweet and sour mix for the wings, I hate sweet but will at least try a wing to see how it comes out. Once things are marinaded they have a tendency to be a bit different than we expected...good or bad.

They were actually pretty bland, surprising as I used to packs of seasoning. Nothing some Tabasco sauce couldn't fix.

The habanero Tabasco sauce is fantastic...I agree it is a bit pricy but the alternative hot sauces are not good from what I have tried.
