Cops eye robbery in old American-Filipino couple’s slay in Dumaguete

Police are investigating the shooting of an elderly American and his Filipino wife inside their home in Purok Katubhan, Barangay Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City early Wednesday.

Probers are looking into robbery as a possible motive.

The victims were identified as Mark Duell, 72, and Elsie Duell, 71, both of whom sustained gunshot wounds in an attack that occurred around 4 a.m., the police reported.
