They are now reporting that in the Philippines there are 140 confirmed cases, 12 deaths. That's a relatively high death rate compared to other countries, but it may just reflect largely unreported infections given there were only 2000 test kits available as of a day or so ago. There's a real possibility that Metro Manila has had a smoldering localized transmission problem that could burst into a real hotspot.

Yes, that's a useful site, but they really need to update daily, or multiple times per day. Hasn't been updated since Mar. 11. There are 15 more cases since then.

The Philippine Dept. of Health (DOH) has quite an informative site and right up to date! https://www.doh.gov.ph/doh-press-release/DOH-SENDS-OFF-NCC-REPATS;-UPDATES-ON-COVID-19-CASES

According to government news agency and health departments, there is only 1 PUI in the central visayas, 30 in the whole country, and ZERO confirmed "admitted" in the whole Philippines. Given the fast spreading in other countries, I am a bit skeptical of the lack of cases, but have no VALID proof of anything different. Annoyingly, neither department has posted any new press releases in almost a week.. Have seen varying news on incubation, I think the current thinking is 14 for quarantine purposes. (maybe)
We still wear masks (as you say, two of a very few) in places like Robinsons or the bank, and have cut our trips there by 3/4... Don't wear masks going into restaurants since have to take them off anyway. BPI staff was wearing first week, not lately, but we WEAR in a crowd that size. Should this thing be hiding somewhere, I don't was to be the first to get it. Going into mercury, definitely wear. And car traffic does seem lighter.
If I had to fly these days, I would NOT do a transit stop anywhere in Asia. It seems to get worse each week.- Agree x 2

We seem to have been diverted to the flippant and who really cares what the correct name it is.We all know what it is, where it started and a reasonable idea of how it started without all the conspiracy stuff. What we need to know isd how prevalent is it in Dumaguete and elsewhere in the Philippines coz there is one hell of a lot of travelling going on between the the provinces. Some truth would help coz this thing isnt just the flu that will cause a few sniffles and some aches and pain. It kills people.

“Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia”.
Since it is a viral pneumonia, I assume that those of us vaccinated with P13 and P21 (bacterial) would have no protection from this virus.
