In Robinson's Mall by the top of the escalator by the food court is a computer store (sorry forget the name) that sells cat 8 ethernet cable in bulk. I saw it on the wall back by the cashier last time I was there.

Alternatively I have a kit with the ends and crimper that has 80 or so meters left in the box that I want to sell.

CAT5 Cable Kit 300 feet/90 Meters With Crimper and Plug Ends Philippines - 2236478

Cable T.V. cable comes in two varieties, and in the U.S. goes from 25-50 cents a foot depending if it is for exterior or interior use and the size/variety. I've seen it in Duma also, probably at one of the local hardware stores, but don't remember where I saw it.

I hope this helps some. :D

Your cable t.v., and internet provider aren't furnishing the cables (for a price), or are you just comparison shopping because you think they want too much?

Thanks Kdf, I thought the builder had the house cable ready, turns out he only put in the raceways so when Globe came out to install the internet cable we were both surprised. Globe will only go 20 meters and I need about 46 so the Globe guy said to call him when the line is in. I figure I will have the same problem when FilProucts comes to install the tv cable.
I know the store you are talking about at Robinsons, I will check it out as well as Polaris.

    I don't know.
I've connected Globe ADSL internet couple of days before. They are using a simple telephone line. You need only 2-5 meters of internet cable between the adsl modem (which is connected to the telephone line) and your computer. I mean if you want to extend any wires - better to extend the telephone line, because it has longer limits (ethernet cable has a 100 meters limit). And I'm almost sure that globe guys were speaking about this type of wires. 25 feet of telephone wire costs not more than 100 pesos.
But the best option will be Wifi - there are routers for sale from 1500 pesos, I just bought one. It is easy to install or I can help you with that if you will need it.
If you will have Wifi you will be able to use several devices with one internet connection anywhere in your house.

Thanks, you clarified that I don't need the more expensive cable. I do need 50 meters to connect from my pole which Globe connects to and to extend to my house via underground raceways. I do not have a phone line. I do have a wifi modem I will connect to their box once installed. I found out the jacketed phone line can be purchased at City Hdwe or Rejoice. Globe will only do the connection from their main line to the phone line at the pole and the interior connection. I will have to do the same process for cable tv (only Filproducts here). Sure wish SkyCable came out this far, they stop about 3 kilometers short.

    Confused!

 Pat, I am totally confused here, Do mean that Globe, will only run a cable to the nearest pole, Then YOU have to run a cable to the House, THEN Globe will connect you from house Entry to PC? Maybe I am just not awake yet but I would have thought if you are going to use globe as your provider, they would do a complete installation. Have I got hold of the right end of the stick here? Maybe I am missing something.:o

Jack, sadly, that is the situation. The installer would not get involved with pulling the wire (or even providing the wire) from the pole to my house. So today I went to Globe Customer Care, waited 1 1/2 hrs for my turn and explained my situation. She made some calls and told me Globe could not allow an underground wire to my house because of exposure, I explained there are raceway tubes and the wire is protected all the way. I left with no solution. Went to my builder and he agreed to install the line is and agreed to buy the cable and install it at my expense; however, not he or his electrician knew what a jacketed phone line is. Don't want to go on here, will get this d*mn issue resolved tomorrow. Welcome to the boondocks.

    Crisky!

 What a bummer! Pat, I know things can be a little slow and undirected BUT this has shocked me. Will there be NO end to the internet problems outside the city limits. The rest of the world has buried cable, well Trunked (Raceway and Jacketed) well maybe not every where and seems not in SEA. Did you have this sort of problen in Luzon? I am sure not all places have these issues. Maybe we can Teach a few some things here. hope this latest issue gets sorted soon!
