It depends very much on whether there is 'clean title' and road frontage or right of way access

How right you are @DAVE1952. When we bought our land there were only 3 neighbours, none with Harrykokey. Over the years a few more properties have been built and probably all of them have the f***in machines. I brought with me a very good sound system from UK so now, on a Sunday normally, we turn it on Spotify, set to 80s & 90s music, wind up the volume.....and f**k off out for the day.

When i first started to live here many years ago i used to think that the stupid things people do were down to lack of intelligence but after observing the way people form or deform a queue, drive, park (car or motorbike),play music ear damaging loud or even just walk in the street i can now only think that stupidity is only a small part of it, the main thing is ignorance and total disrespect / disregard for all other people .

I think "Cash is King" because nothing else can be trusted.

In fact, with ever-increasing regulations world-wide on banks and other stores of assets, it seems that keeping cash is the most sensible idea (as our boss, Mr CH, has said in the past). I spend most of my time these days trying to get hold of my own money from banks and other institutions in my home country and struggling because I have no permanent address there - there is no need for KYC or any other form of compliance checking if you hold your money in cash (and they can't seize it when they find they so messed up the economies that they need to 'haircut' (steal) deposits overnight from banks as they did in Cyprus and Greece in 2008/2009).

I think that is a function of emotional intelligence. I noticed when mixing with Filipino students (not just youth) in the UK how they had no hesitation in being rude about each other with regards to weight and other attributes. It was like a game and they never thought how it might affect their fellow human beings.

But I think that when a Filipino meets a foreigner in a relationship, they generally start to understand the importance of empathy. So many positive things aliens can bring to a country.

Fortunately, once a noise (or any stimulus) becomes regular we lose it into the background - I leave notes around at home to remind myself of things to do and then, after a short time, I stop seeing them. So then I make a new note to remind me to look at the other ones.

    I don't know.
The other day I was reading the results of a scientific research paper, there they had found that the very first few days after birth of a young child are the most dangerous, but being a Scotsman I am not inclined to believe everything I hear and I would suggest it is the last few days of ones life to be the most critical and now I like to get p!ssed every night I would hate to get caught out being sober on my last day on this earth?

What about the Children? when their father has a loud sound system they may be subjected to a noise level of 100 decibels plus, surely this must damage their hearing more so than an adult?

Karaoke this is nearly impossible to get away from? when we viewed the land we bought, there seemed to be none in the area how wrong we were, they were just not playing at the time? there turned out to be two of them, one family have now moved this was the loudest, however the second one is going all day every Sunday and from this I hear terrible renditions of songs from the likes of Celine Dion or Bon Jovi,,, in the area there is now a couple of sound systems, I think they are quite far away but still I hear the loud Bass from them playing the same repetitive two notes all day long.

If you wanted to know the level of IQ of your neighbours here, get a decibel meter and measure the sound level coming from them, this would be a great indicator of just how Fecking dumb they really are.

It is nearly impossible to find a place here without a Karaoke or sound system and even if you do it will be short lived, just wait 5 minutes and they will appear.

Don't forget dealing only with a Deed of Sale (no title), siblings of the seller and inheritance, and the need for a subdivision plan to get a title if buying a portion of a larger property. It doesn't get much better than in the Phils.

The problem with prices in the Philippines is they seem to be "slightly" inflated from what I have seen. Thanks for the data point.
