No you don't understand Filipino math/scams. They took a 440 P ride to pick up 1000 P. They also dropped off some jewerly pawn tick for my x gf. The pawn ticket was for 1,500 P but of coarse they only dropped off 1,250.

So the math is: 1,000 P pickup weekly pick up
-440 P transportation cost for trike from San Jose

    560 P Net pick up

1,500 P GF pawn ticket dropped off with pay off money (1,250 p)
1,250 P cash dropped of to pay off pawn

    - 250 P extra scammed from loan payoff amount from pawn ticket without permission (extra money for family)

    810 P net to GF's family
440 P Filipino culture and scam benefits program
    1,250 P cost to me

Of coarse since the money was being wasted, the sari-sari store picked up a 5 KG advance/load for the week, so soon next weeks allowance will be spent before it is received... then tears of starving family, etc. ..... seems everyone but the Expat came out good.... :(

So you now understand Filipino math: what is bad for you is good for me.

The only thing to understand is that it's a scam and the pity party they are looking for should be ignored. Why give them more? I'm positive they will find a way to not starve once they are cut off. You are only enabling them by giving them handouts.

In my experience Filipinos can certainly count quite well, as long as the numbers add up to suit them.............lol.......... If they don't add up to suit them, they seem to not understand English or suddenly become deaf............lol...........and look confused, an act worthy of an Acadamy Award with some of them. Having said that, there are others who are totally trustworthy. Trick is to be able to tell the difference, ..........ha ha ha ha ha ............while we still have money to count...........lolo_O
