@Philpots was mostly correct in that the US has a high death rate per 100,000 population. (Although he got some of the details confused.) This is because, although the US has a low mortality rate per people infected, the US has a very high infection rate per capita. @Kilam63 failed to choose the tab "Deaths per 100,000 population" as shown in red in the below image. This puts the US in 3rd place instead of 11th.
Thanks. I felt so stupid when I realised what I had done and you are certainly correct. The figures from the USA are really not expected from a country so far advanced in most medical issues and medical expertise. I would really have expected them to have one of the best, if not the best results but what I am seeing is they have some of the worst. Most surprising even though their president hasnt taken the correct stance on this. I would have expected a lot more common sense from them but oh no! Now they are pushing to open schools and very soon, if that is what they do, I believe we will see some of the worst infection rates and forbid it to happen, deaths, for children in the world and that could be a disaster if the long term effects turn out to be as bad as some of the experts seem to be suggesting could be the case.
the question of testing/retesting apparently applies all over the world. there are differences in the tests being performed and if they are new or retest of the same people. given that VIP's receive preferential treatment in every world i would assume that is true of the US and every other country as well. part of the human experience. or so i've heard
so the reality vs official response to covid continues. it is such a joke. phil star carries photos today (sat/sun) of thousands of LSI (locally stranded individuals) forcibly warehoused in sports complexes in the manila area to isolate them (i assume in some form of official quarentine) from the general population. within the sports complex according to phil star there is zero social distancing and you can see row upon row of the poor people lined up on the bleachers with apparently no place to lay down. home quarentine is so much worse i guess. here in dumaguete city the discrepancies are just as bad. simply go to the local public market downtown and witness no social distancing whatsoever. in a thirty minute visit you will violate social distancing with maybe a hundred, maybe more individuals. many people have their masks on their chin or in some cases the hard working fish mongers have no mask at all. no handwashing in evidence either, no logs kept, no temps being taken. meanwhile at RCBC bank, when i go there, you get a foot bath, hand washing, temp taken and you have to fill out a full page sheet with all your personal data. the emperor is wearing no clothes folks
