Cultural question about what makes one a "Foreigner".

I guess you are already here so you will probably know this already, My nephew tells me that there are Unofficial Associations of Students, Korean, Japanese and Mixed blood. and others I would imagine. Whilst it may be of use to you to join one until you find your feet, it will to a degree seclude you from what you are looking for, he tells me that all to many times these Associations stick together so much they never really Integrate with the main flow. I am sure from what we read you will soon find your feet and have a happy time here. Best of luck and maybe you will keep us updated of your progress.

Always remembering you have many friends here on DI. If you need help and well advice and things, as far as we can help you, we will try. Just Shout. A lot of us have teenage children at College and University and I am sure we can help somewhere, At sometime.

So Moses Joshua is foreign students liason, coordinator or whatever title they give him there..l He will likely spot you as soon as you start to campus life... He is very much into the fashion galas from the university and beyond... He will try to involve you in that and more as part of his job and enjoyment... Just remember if you are feeling shunned, it may be that they feel inadequate around you... Im sure the right crowd will find you and all will smooth into a regular life even if it is not quite the average pinoy life as you are not the average pinoy...
