I would seriously consider (even if you can manage to import duty free) to limit whatever you wish to bring with you to stuff that will fit in a couple balikbayan boxes (land transport shouldn't be all that expensive for a couple fair sized boxes even over 3000 km), and save yourself the (at least) 6,000 US$ for a container.
Most household stuff and furniture can be bought here pretty cheaply, and things like books will fit in balikbayan boxes.
Before I moved here I sold/donated most of my stuff and I never had any regrets about it.
