    Any info would be appreciated.
According to Peter Jen's travel guide an overnight stay would cost abouth 2500 php.
    Is this still the case?
I will be spending time on Apo and then would need to make a choice between Danjugan and siquijor.
Plenty of info on siquijor on the net but Danjugan looks like a well kept secret.

    Go to Sipalay

    Hi robbie.

I havn`t been to Danjugan yet, but I know there are quite a few diveshops in Sipalay, and any of these should be able to arrange diving on Danjugan. Just try to search Google.ph "Sipalay diving" and you should get the relevant hits.

From all I heard Siquijor is a very quiet place, and the diving I have seen there is only average. Nothing really compared to Apo or Balicasaq. Personally I therefore have Sipalay much higher on my list of "places to go" than Siquijor (have never stayed overnight in Siquijor, only daytrip).

As for staying overnight in Danjugan, I have no idea, but I am sure you can get info on this by searching on Google or by turning up in Sipalay.

    Best regards, Lars

The diving in Danjugan suffered from some serious damage caused by dynamite-fishing. The Island by itself is just wonderful. If you love nature, try to stay 2 nights there, no real need to go there for diving. The problem with Siquijor when you do it as a daytrip you have very limited opportunities, I was visiting the Island a few times and there is definitely fantastic diving around, I personally like the north-east-area most. It is a Island to visit if you have the time and stay there for a few nights. Many "cheap" accomodations and great nature around....

    cheers

    Diving in Sipalay

Should be added perhaps, that there are a tons of other dive sites along the west coast of Negros near Sipalay, so diving in this area is definitly still an option, perhaps then just not at Danjugan Island.

This company also offers liveaboard trips into the Sulu Sea in the dry season (marts-may):

SIPALAY EASY DIVING AND BEACH RESORT PHILIPPINEN NEGROS

Since I havn`t been to Sipalay yet, I won`t comment on weather diving in Sipalay is better or worse than Siquijor.

Thanks for the tips. Looks like Danjugan/Sipalay and Siquijor will be on my wish list in July.
