I have been going to DDC since it opened for the Thai Chicken curry. IMHO it's the best in the area with 3 different heat ranges to choose from. I stopped in the other day for my weekly fix and the waitress asked if I wanted the special. Being a creature of habit I wanted my Thai Curry but said "what is it" to be polite. She said Tiger Prawns, pasta and cold beer. I decided to treat myself to the Tiger Prawns and what a treat it was.
Seems the owners were in Mindanao and found 10 kg of 4 to 5 inch long real Tiger Prawns, brought them back and wow, did they do a nice job sauteing them (1/2 kilo) and added a huge portion of linguine to the plate. It was delicious and all I could do to finish....
I reserved 2 more portions for the next day, brought my seafood loving sweetie there and again was very impressed with the portion, quality and service. Great place to visit when in the Dauin area...

Our Thai curries Red, Green and Yellow continue to be as popular as ever and I picked up a few tips after working with great chefs in Thailand for 15 years.
Recently I returned from the UK and brought alot of Indian spices and curries back and they too have been well received.
We are really happy you enjoyed the Tiger Prawns and I will continue to bring them in from Mindanao as they really are the best and once they are on the Special board they do not last long!

From my experiences, I'm gonna assume this customer was right...I doubt he was making up a story just to waste his breath....I've had so many bad experiences, and everyone I know experiences the same thing, inexperienced staff that doesn't know what is going on, doesn't care what is going on, and/or improperly trained.....I'm guessing it started as a management not properly showing the food selection, and then the waiter/waitress not clarifying the order....then the staff makes up stories and try to blame the customer....they ALWAYS have an excuse, no matter what, to justify their ignorant actions. Management should be careful not to ignore what the customer said.

 

Was your experience based on eating there?

Almost all the staff have been there for a long time, again You would be best to form your own opinion based on experience.

Any positive suggestions are always welcome as far as I know (based on actually having been there).

 

I went twice to the Friday buffet the food was ok but they were reluctant to keep the serving table replenished when an item was missing buffet means eat all you want not what they want you to eat...

 

I have heard (heresay) that one fellow's wife overhead the staff saying "do not put out any more ribs until that guy leaves because he eats all of the ribs", which if is true sort of supports your comment. Lots of heresay in my comment, so just observe. I would not have ever posted this except your comment can use additional foundation not matter how weak my hearsay is.

 

We liked the staff alot but found the food to be hit and miss.

 

Listen I do not need to explain how we run our operation as you have never been there.
You are the classic far too much too say that has far too much time on their hands.
Stop trying to compare your ignorant western standards in the Philippines.
