I recently brought my child to the dentist at the Palawan Hotel. This Dentist was refered to me by a friend. I was told she had fair prices. My child had 4 cavities filled, I was charged 500 pesos per filling. Does anyone know if this is the normal charge for filling of cavities, because I think its rather exspensive.

Dentists all charge different rates. I've been in some dentists office in the philippines that are 200P a cleaning (a 15 minute treatment with a water pic) and 250P for a filling. Those offices have not even come close to the cleanliness, service, atmosphere and professional work of the Dentist at Hotel Palwa. She's been good by me and while she's not the cheapest, you wouldn't expect her to be.

Hey Mark. thanks for the information. I liked the Dentist and I found the office very clean and professional. I have no problem paying the 2000 pesos for the treatment my child received. my only concern is that some one else who was seen by the same Dentist told me they payed less for the same procedure.

    it's possible :-)

I took a friend in there and she had 5 fillings all completed at once. for that, I got 50P off each filling.

My wife has had 4 cavities filled and I have had one filled by Dr Garupa. We paid 500p for each one which I think is fair.

Who? Prices? How better? Cleaner? Garupa's office has always been clean when I've been there. She also has an autoclave for sanitizing instruments.

KdF, Not that Garupa's office is dirty, just don't like when a small kid is eating, salivaring and climbing around everywhere (it did not belong to a patient).
As I don't know the filling, the denture I need was 1 third higher quoted than Dr. Sensano's quote, he is located across Provincial Hospital in the back of that new-ish building, running his clinic with his son.
