⌛ Dipolog

Planning to visit Dipolog next week. Anyone been there recently can recommend mid range hotels, bars restaurants etc?

I was in Dip and Dap last year for a few days.. Dipolog-Camilla has 2 hotels in city...the one with the pool is a little further away from the centre..Everything is within walking distance..No great restaurants or bars...not so many tourists,friendly locals..Dapitan is really only a small port area..Miguel

 

We were in Dipolog last month as my asawa is from there. Grandma's is a decent place to eat and Dapitan has some good seafood restraurants along the main road. Mibang hotel is ok. None of the accomodations there are very expensive and no 5 star hotels or eating there.

The boulevard is a good experience, make sure to go in the morning or at night. There is also a an open air restaurant near the boulevard, one block over, that serves pretty good food, lots of lechon.

How far is it from Dapitan to Dipolog - walking distance? What do trikes charge there? We're going next week for the first time, just a day trip..

 

I took a local bus..about a 10 minut trip...A day trip is not very much time to see the sights!..Miguel

 

Guess you could get a flavour of both towns in a day. Dipolog has a nice boulevard to hang out in early morning or evening. Dapitan is much more of a seaside town with some nice resorts along the front . Rizal's house is worth a visit although its a bit dry there just now.
