Hanging on the computer or being under water since years, working in a different fields, you get into a daily routine. Just the environment here is way better then it would be in Germany. Usually in my off-time I drive around with my bike, meet some friends, just the usuall stuff.

I decided to do something completely new, what I have not done since I am in the Philippines. I grasped a big towel, drove to the beach (and believe it or not, it was grey sky after lunch in Duma, a bit rain in Bacong and sunny-hot in Dauin, NO new discussion, just another observation)
I dropped my big butt into the sand. The next 4,5 hours I did just nothing. I did not move a lot, just sitting in the sand. I consider myself as a kind of "workaholic". If I have off-time at home I read books or play guitar.
When I came back to Duma I realised that it has been years that I really did "nothing". and I enjoyed a lot... hope it will not take another 7 years to do it.

Just some pictures from exactly that spot I was sitting and laying on a Sunday afternoon somewhere at a beach in the PI... Nothing special

Doing nothing? You did something special, Rhoody, you took pictures of the scene around you. I can see Apo Island in the distance.

Dauin reminds me of three senior gentlemen brothers I met on the beach. They were drinking tuba from the coconut tree. They were in their 70's but the two older ones were perched on the coconut tree while the youngest looked too frail to climb the tree. He was the grumpiest according to my guide. I guess the lesson I learned was that grumpy people age faster.

Doing nothing, I guess, keeps you relaxed and not be grumpy.

Thanks, Rhoody for posting those scenic pictures.

Thanks for the pics Rhoody. There is an ice storm today in Missouri, USA and I didn't attend work. I am enjoying updating myself on all the news on the forum. I have been too busy at work to access this site much. I am in the process of making plans to return to the PHL and hope to do so by this summer if I can kick butt on my budget requirements. Thanks for inspiring me on this cold, icy day! I know it will all be worth the effort once I reach there.
