Don't kill outside the family!

They do need someone related to the corpse to press charges or nothing will be done. Also the police will need gas money to accomplish the investigation!

 

About 5 years ago I had a GF here, while in the US. Her father was murdered here because he had witnessed a crime, and he had to be eliminated. She had to file the charges, and pay for all the investigated police work etc. She had little help from anyone in the police except the barangay Captain's sympathy, and the Barangay Captain showing up at the viewing. She was very impressed that the Barangay captain showed up. They had arrested the murderer, as he was drunk and had been seen arguing with her dad. It was to say the least an unique experience for me, and very emotionally difficult for her. She was proud she had given the responsibility of leading the "Charge" since she was the oldest, but it was a difficult time for her and me.

 

Makes sense I guess. Steal like 100 pesos from me and I'm going to be pissed once I found out you stole my money. If you kill me, then I'm not going to think much about it.

I wouldn't be surprised if people turned to murder for hire rather than the police. If you have to pay for it anyway, the other would probably be speedier and more sure.

 

I would join your trip, but I think I have family there. If someone kills me I want justice, or least 5,000 P for my children to go out for dinner.
