Never backed a car onto a Philippine barge before, did drive a volkswagen onto a large ferry going from South Italy to Sicily.

I personally don't think Ceres is all that bad. It gets you there and I have never really been on a packed bus.

Tall folks need to sit in the front bus seats and buy two tickets if traveling alone.

I'm 196 cm tall, was in Cebu this week with the bus as many times before, the experience is always different between 5-8 hours ( schedule say 6 hours) I have no big problem most times with space for my legs as long I sit to the walkway. No one respect if you buy 2 seats/tickets forget it. Funny experience on way back to Dumaguete with the ferry, fully booked, there is a big sports event in Dumaguete this coming week and a lot of kids and teenagers from Cebu and other places come here. I pay a little to the right people and get onboard, more fun in the Philippines

Many times I would sit upstairs near the fast craft captain. That’s when I was living halfway between Santander and Bato. Used to snorkel several times a week, saw many whale sharks, turtles, huge manta rays and a very aggressive trigger fish, and clams.
