Hi all quick question can you change a European professional license for a Philippines license or do you need to ? I have all my categories every group and was wondering if I live permanently do I need to change it over
Technically?? You have 30 days to switch. Considering what is currently going on, it is probably not possible to do so. But you should at least make the effort.
The last time i checked if you could drive here with a UK license Foreign driving license[edit] Foreigners who hold a valid driver's license issued by the road authority of their home country can drive in the Philippines for up to 90 days upon arrival provided that their license is written in English. If the license is not in English, an official English translation from the local embassy of the issuing country is required. You just go to the LTO and get a PH license no test required, that's quite good considering the UK regulations as my wife found out when we lived there for a while. Driving in Great Britain on a non-GB licence You can drive in Great Britain on your full, valid driving licence for 12 months from when you became resident After 12 months you’ll need to apply for a provisional licence and pass the theory and practical driving tests to drive in Great Britain. I found out from the LTO manager that a Driving School certificate is now a requirement starting August 3, 2020 for a Student Permit. I was told that ONLY private schools offer this. I asked across LTO and the school said the cost is 4,500p for a two day talking about rules only type seminar. This seems very high. Also, many of the numerous medical clinics and insurance people kept bugging me to use their services. I have a strange suspicion that all other services can be offered at a much reduced price elsewhere. Please let me know where are the legitimate, qualified places to get these services. Thanks!
The LTO manager told me that you MUST be living here for over a year plus show PROOF of this BEFORE you are allowed to apply for any type of license.
