The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Region 7 started in Dumaguete City Monday its simultaneous training for enumerators and other workers in the region for the second round of the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction. The program called Listahan ng Pamilyang Nangangailangan, aims to revamp the DSWD's existing list of the country's poor, majority of whom are benefiting from programs and projects of the government, Leah Tagalo Quintana of DSWD-7 said. Quintana said this is an information data base of poor households in the country. She is one of the speakers in the training and said 2,117 encoders, 424 area supervisors, 85 area coordinators, 301 encoders, and 301 verifiers are hired for the project in Central Visayas.
