It will when some take something out of Context. When we are trained (All be it 40+ years for me) we learn. So when Adverse reports on landing Gear Brakes should always be related to mph, (their theory is, Wheels on the ground, mph) That was a given order from Ground Engineering so that's what you do. Give the report in mph. Now we all know, that Airspeed is calculated in knots but for me, I have always used GS in mph as per Orders This seems to have been Misunderstood or misinterpreted that's OK with me each to our own, carry on but to say I have used the Wrong Terminology sorry, I disagree.
If it is still not to some's agreement, then the Doubting Thomas's can explain this to us all.:

As you can see mph is used. For me it's done.

Some countries own their people so of course whatever the people own belongs to the government also. If the Philippines were N. Korea, China, Russia we wouldn't be having this discussion, right? Mostly because I don't think any of us would want to live there long enough (or at all) to care.

Some people don't mind it one bit.....so long as they are getting paid. :sneaky:

Just a little bit of Google:
To a new site in bacong town Solon wants to relocate airport from Dumaguete
    Negros Oriental | GOVPH
    Here's a "family tree":
    http://www.tanjaycity.org/familytrees/TevesTree-Ver14-12Oct2015.pdf
Hit Ctrl+F and type in "Alviola" and see how many matches come up.

    familymeme`.jpg

I kinda like it here....so I'm going to shut up now. :whistling:

Side note: This is not the first time a tree has stood in the way of progress.
    DAILY STAR: Negros Oriental
The mayor of Sibulan doesn't want to cut down his trees to expand the airport because......"climate change". :2rofl:
That property next to the airport is pretty nice one though and it would be a shame to cut those trees down to make room for an airport. But the climate change excuse is just silly.

What war? The tree owner has made no overt acts that I know of?

I am a supporter of property rights anywhere, always have been. If you don't agree that every property owner should be dealt with fairly and legally, I believe that you should have all you have taken away from you and you should be forced to help load it all up, because you are ok with it in principle.

Corporate entities should not pull the we are big and you are small crap, refusing to pay and making you sue them. I have been there and I can tell you it's no fun. Yeah, I think it's funny when they step on their dicks. They need something from the land owner now who has to do nothing but ignore them and engage a lawyer who will squeeze it for all it's worth. Karma is a b*tch.

There is this guy on You tube calls himself Sean the resort rebel and I think he is full of crap except for one thing he said. Just pay on the spot. Pay the first person. When you let things drag out and more people get involved, it isn't going to get cheaper. Why make the lawyers rich? Words to live by.

Not a pilot but a passenger. I flew an Airbus A320/319 to and from Duma-Manila and back in the last week. They are using the runway for A320/A319 now(Cebu Pacific anyways). When we landed we appeared to use a shortened runway and as soon as we touched down the pilot went full back throttle and full brakes to bring us to safe stop before running out of runway. We landed from the Sea side.

So it's just the one tree? And hopefully not the only shade tree he has over a house or livestock? I wonder if someone has been trying to work something out with this person for about 10 years? I don't see how corporations/ entities in the Philippines can screw up stuff so horribly. If it's just one tree I bet I could get the guy to sell it to me, as long as nobody has antagonized the living sh*t out of him before I ask.

The Ramos right of way I would have secured it before putting in the line. I would have offered triple prime commercial / industrial rate per sq meter (if I had to) and included a reversion clause so that if the line is ever moved they get their property back free. That or move the line slightly to miss the Ramos property to begin with. Or started the condemnation proceedings to legally take their property at a decent price, whatever prime commercial/ industrial property goes for, before the line was installed. If I have to go to court they don't get triple and they don't get the reversion clause. You don't have to screw people over to save a little chump change. If you aren't screwing people over, generally they don't feel the need to make your life suck. Just sayin.
