The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Dumaguete City held in abeyance a resolution that would allow the city to use funds from the Priority Development Assistance of a senator the city received in 2012 yet. The Department of Social Welfare and Development asked for a resolution to allow the city to use the funds to procure construction materials for typhoon victims, instead of buying basic commodities for them. Councilor Manny Arbon expressed reservations about using the PDAF after it was declared unconstitutional and illegal by the Supreme Court.
