I think I know who he is, and that he posts on this forum, but I'm not absolutely positive......

Oscar nominee, 3-time Emmy nominee retires in Dgte

Tim Cooney is probably not a name one would easily recognize.

But Cooney has worked in countless movies and hundreds of TV shows. He won a Golden Reel for a film he made in the Philippines titled Noriega: God's Favorite in 2000.

One of his first TV shows also in the Philippines was titled Savage in the Orient in 1979. It was at that time when he decided he would retire in the Philippines.

Last month, Cooney and his Filipina wife whom he met in Texas seven years ago, packed up their bags, and moved to Dumaguete.

“I just fell in love with the Philippine people,” Cooney said.

Cooney has mixed the sound, and has been in charge of that process in such films as Lethal Weapon 4 , Conspiracy Theory and We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson; Demolition Man and Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone; Die Hard 2 with Bruce Willis; and The Punisher with John Travolta.

He has been nominated nine times for various film awards, including an Oscar, three Emmys, two C.A.S. awards, and three Golden Reels. He also wrote a book titled Work in Movies? Are You Crazy!

Cooney has also worked with the Kern County sheriff’s office, and was a member of its advisory board for over 20 years.

When asked if there’s still anyone he regrets not having worked with, he said it’s TV host and actress Kris Aquino, youngest sister of the Philippine President.

“I would just like to meet her. I feel that because of her film and television career, and her family’s political involvement in the Philippines, she would have a keen insight into the people and their needs. Maybe someday I will get lucky to meet her. I could talk about Hollywood, and she could talk about the Philippines, and we could try solve the problems of the world -- if it were only that easy,” Cooney said. (PR)

I believe the fellow on the left might be our man:
