⌛ Dumaguete Info - Forum Update

Maybe some of you already recognized slight changes on the Board-Section of DumagueteInfo.com

We upgraded the Forum today with some new (and in our opinion very valuable) features. (meaning I messed it up and the Dane cleaned up the mess)

Pictures:
the new Picture viewer makes each site load faster, if you click on the thumb, the picture will magnify to the uploaded size (max 800x800 and 100kb for .jpg)

Manage Attachment:
You can now upload up to 5 attachments in one go, not like before one-by-one

Bookmarks:
If you think a thread has valuable information for your friends and other non-members, you can share the link one Social-Bookmarking sites like Digg and Stumble On.
If you use different computers you may wanna bookmark valuable Infos to your google account.
You also ca share your post, pictures or any thread you want on facebook.

For all four, simply click the icon at the bottom of the thread you read and you will be automatically logged in to your account (if you have one of course)

Tags:
You can use Tags when starting a new thread. Up to 25 Tags can be entered just under the Message-area. This makes it easier for our search-function to find appropriate posts and threads.
Example (Tags for this thread): Bookmarks, User CPanel, Tags, Attachments

User CPanel:
Most changes are done in the User CP. You have now much more options like creating albums, invite friends, build networking and interest groups and much more. Just have a look and play around with it.

Thanks for installing the updates, Rhoo.... err, I mean Dane. :D I like the changes.

As a side note, Rhoody, whenever you have a camera with you, and I am around, I will make it a point to stay away from anything that may incriminate me. :D :D

What are the newly opened hotels/pension houses in Dumaguete that you can recommend within the city limits that fits a travellers budget?

New Threads

I am sorry but i guess i am not very smart! But can you tell me how to find the button that allows someone to stat a new thread? Some times i can find it and at other times no mater what i click on it does not direct me to new threads. Why not just put a icon on the page that says POST NEW THREADS! It would help us not so computer literate people allot,SORRY

Hello All,

Five years ago I met someone on line, and now I think we are ready to work on being together. He is Filipino and lives in Sindagan, we have been discussing Dumaguete City as a possible place to live.

Over a period of the next few months I will have questions, as to what they will be depends on what I read here in the forum. I look forward to your answers, and possible meeting in the future.

Well,if Your Name is ROD,and Your Filipino Friend happens to be a He,then You should have no problems whatsoever settling down in a place like Dumaguete,or many other Cities thruout the Philippines for that matter.It all depends on what You like.I wouldn't recommend anything around Jolo or the sulu archiapalago,but that's My opinion. Unlike the U.S. {WHERE ONE MUST COME OUT OF THE CLOSET} The Philippines is One GIANT Walk in Closet where everything's out in the open,and if You haven't been there yet You'll be in for a surprise, or in other words,You'll feel right at home. I'm sure some of the other members can shed some more light on this subject....Mabuhay!
