An ordinance that's 10 years old? Better late than never I suppose, more fun in P'Nutland.

If they have not been enforcing it, why do they set off the freakin air raid siren every night at 9:45 and 10:00???

The siren is automatic and no one knows how to switch it off.

It should last all this week and maybe even into next week, then the police will be tired of this requirement and get back to sitting watching the television in the station.

Just started remembering one of the Naked Gun movies with Leslie Nelson. They couldn't figure out how to disarm a nuclear bomb and as it was seconds from going off Leslie Nelson's character tripped over the power cord thus unplugging it, nuclear disaster solved.

I wonder if they tried unplugging the damned thing...

Yes, I've been in Cebu city a couple of times before, in the 28 years I've lived as permanent resident in Dumaguete city. Most times, I've stayed in Mandaue City, Mactan island and more affluent areas too, as far as I know/remember, they have always done this. Perhaps it's just media only now just catching up with what is right/correct/ moral, etc etc....Then jumping on the DUH-30 bandwagon.
